Some Gentle, Cruelty-Free, Skin and Body Care Picks

It’s finally warm and sunny here! It felt like spring would never come to Canada. This spring, I’m trying to be more gentle on my skin and take a step back from harsh products. I’m trying to take a bit of a “less-is-more” tactic! I’ve been loving a lot of my skin and body care lately, so I thought that it might be nice to share some of it.
All of these are quite gentle and light, and nothing really show-stopping, but I still am really liking them! I’ve been enjoying this skincare and bodycare routine with more plain products a lot lately.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream
I generally prefer shower creams to shower gels, as they are more moisturizing, and this is no exception! I love how it’s light and moisturizing on my skin, and has a lovely, almost floral scent.
Burt’s Bees Honey Moisturizing Lip Balm
I always love Burt’s Bees lip balms! This one smells lovely, and does a great job of keeping my lips moisturized.
The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Body Lotion
I’ve been using this every day lately! I love how it’s gentle, light, and moisturizing on my skin, and how it doesn’t feel greasy at all.

This is a lot less greasy feeling than the previous moisturizer I was using, and a little bit really goes a long way. I love how gentle it is on my skin! I wish that it was slightly more moisturizing, but it works well for the warmer weather.

Marcelle Comforting Cleansing Milk
I absolutely love the way that this feels on my face! It’s really soothing, and feels really relaxing. It also seems to do a really good job of cleansing and moisturizing my skin. It’s perfect for my dry, yet sensitive skin!

What have you been loving on your skin this spring?

  1. Burt's Bees is such a good brand! I used their lip balm a ton during the winter, as my lips constantly kept bleeding. I don't have a ton of beauty products, but if I get some more in the future, cruelty-free products are important to me.

  2. Yay for cruelty-free products! I have to stay away from almonds (and all tree nuts) because my husband is allergic, so it can sometimes be hard to find natural products. XD The Marcelle products look really good, though!
